If you put a key under the mat for the cops, a burglar can find it, too. Criminals are using every technology tool at their disposal to hack into people’s accounts. If they know there’s a key hidden somewhere, they won’t stop until they find it.Tim Cook
As we all know , Google never compromises security. Google is working hard on tightening their security. The company has to do this by making sure the apps available on the Play Store are safe for all kinds of Android users around the globe. Now, Google has removed 11 apps from its app store as they were infected with Joker malware.
According to security researchers at Israeli cybersecurity firm CheckPoint Research, the recently discovered new variant of the Joker Dropper and Premium Dialer spyware in Google Play was able to download additional malware to the device. which in turn subscribes the victim to a number of premium services without their consent.

Joker Malware –
The researchers have said that with small changes to its code the Joker malware to get past the Play store’s security and vetting barriers. The newly modified Joker virus uses two main components to subscribe, app users to premium services. These components are: Notification Listener service and dynamic dex file loaded from the C&C server.
“The new method is much more complex compared to the process of the original Joker malware. It requires one .dex file to read a manifest file and then start decoding the payload. After the payload is decoded, it then loads a new .dex file and then infects the device” – Lalit Wadhwa, an Android app developer
Although Google has removed these applications from the PlayStore, people who have inadvertently downloaded any of these apps will have to remove them manually.Experts suggested to check your transactions immediately on play store as any service subscribed by using credit card. As per reports malware is very tricky to detect and may be a possibility of coming back on play store apps.
Early in the january month google removed the 1700 apps from the play store because they are infected with joker malware. And this time google found that 11 apps are again infected with the joker malware. This time malware is very tricky to detect.
Check Point recommends you to check all your apps thoroughly and see if they are from a non-trusted developer. If you feel that you have downloaded an infected file, you should immediately uninstall it. And recommended to use anti virus in your phone.
